Khatami article appears in Globalization Encyclopedia.

An article written by President Mohammad Khatami ;

elaborating on his idea of Dialogue among Civilizations has been published in the Globalization Encyclopedia, it was announced here

on Saturday.

the article, entitled Islam in the Contemporary World.

is a condensation of four essays written by the president, namely, Dialogue among Civilizations and the World of Islam.

Dialogue in the New Millennium.

Wisdom and Religion and Freedom and Development.

the encyclopedia was published by the Russian Radoga Publishing House.

It is a joint compilation of several Russian institutes engaged in the promotion of peace including the Center for Scientific and

Experimental Programs for Dialogue, Society of Philosophy, Academy of the Environment and the International Organization of

Philosophy along with Boston University in Massachussetts, USA.

the encyclopedia features 1,250 articles on the world's outstanding theoretical and scientific achievements as well as on the

phenomenon of globalization.

It covers a variety of issues including anthropology, health, engineering, terrorism, environment, history of technological development,

oceanography, culture, education and training, social movements, world politics, ethics, religion and philosophy.

Its editorial group includes social and political science scholars from Russia, the US, China, India, Iran, Germany and Turkey who

devoted 30 years working on the book.

 

Iran's cultural attache to Moscow, Mehdi Sana'ie, who has just completed his mission, was also a member of the encyclopedia's

editorial council.

the encyclopedia, which has an initial circulation of 5,000, has so far been warmly welcomed.
